Dedicated to the memory of Tim

This site is a tribute to Tim, who was born in Leicester on January 2nd, 1948.  A brother to Kate, Maureen, Mick, Anne, Margaret and Pat.  A father to his son's, Mick and Dan, and a husband to his wife Barbara.

As a young man he trained as a journeyman electrician, but he quickly progressed to roles that made him oversee large industrial construction jobs around the midlands.  He once said "If I can't see the job from the roof of my house then it's too far".

A keen traveller abroad, he indulged in the history of any place he visited and would often partake in the local vino.  In 2007 he accomplished a life long dream of flying to America and stayed with his son Dan in New York.

Tim was an avid supporter of the Foxes and in his youth played football himself for a local side.  After a game with a team of prison guards he commented "they were the biggest bunch of crooks he's ever played against".

As a family man he put both his sons through university and always encouraged others to better themselves, regardless of background.  His eldest son Mick gained a 1st class honours in Engineering and his other son Dan earned a 2.1 in Computer Science.

Even in poor health Tim didn't want anyone to worry.  In his last message to his son Dan he said "Hi Dan, mums gone out to Boots, this is dad, I had a good nights sleep and just resting in bed now.  Best of luck with the flight to Boston,
cheers then kidda, bye
"
